Welcome to StreamCodeUpdate.com
Last updated in 2000, Oak Lodge Sanitary District’s surface water management rules and regulations do not meet new state and federal regulations and no longer reflect the community’s desire to protect and enhance local water quality.
A comprehensive code update is getting underway. The update ensures the District’s rules and regulations comply with state and federal requirements while meeting customers’ expectations.
The update will create a new stream code that better protects local water resources, with clear requirements for developers, businesses, and property owners to follow.
The Code Update Process
The stream code update team is supported by professional staff from Oak Lodge Sanitary District and consultants with surface water management expertise. The project team will carefully review each code section, and recommend changes.
The update is guided by a few simple criteria. For a code change to be considered, it must accomplish at least one of the following objectives:
- Meets legal requirements
- Balances consistency and flexibility in permitting process
- User friendly: clarifies or simplifies rules
- Is closely aligned with Clackamas County land use code
- Provides online accessibility
